Slot Games Changes FAQs
Some slot games have bonus rounds or features with spins faster than 2.5 seconds, is this allowed?
Yes, this requirement does not apply to bonus and or feature games where an additional stake is not wagered.
Are Bingo, Lottery, Table Games and Live Casino games included in the changes?
The Gambling Commission state that only Casino games of a reel-based type (includes games that have non-traditional reels) are subject to these requirements.
Some slot games feature more than one set of reels, why are these still allowed?
These games were taken under consideration by the Gambling Commission and will remain under review.
How is my net position (win/loss) calculated?
Net position is defined as the total of all winnings minus the sum of all losses since the start of the gaming session. A gaming session is defined as the opening and closing of one slot game.
Why is my net position (win/loss) updating before my game round ends?
As part of our regulatory requirements for UK customers from October 31st 2021 we are required to display net position(overall or loss) of a particular game session. Unfortunately there will be isolated instances where a customers net position will update before a game round appears to end due to how slot game transactions are settled. Although all slot game outcomes are decided using RNG (Random Number Generator), game results are often known and settled instantly and that visualisations can continue long after the result is known. This has always been the case with some slot games, but with the display of net position, it has become more apparent.
Whilst we appreciate this may effect a customers experience, the display is a measure to meet regulatory requirements, we can assure you that the game rounds are playing out correctly and using RNG to determine the outcome. Any wins due are paid out to you in full, in line with the slot rules/Pay-table.
